Inspiration

Why vomit one's life out on the web? Well, for one, today our lives are very little private. If you don't think so, check what the search engines tell all about you?

Luckily, I don't live in a country where too many street cameras capture my every move, but I suppose since 1996 when I opened my first 'Hotmail' account, I had chosen to go public and get connected with the many folks to come along the path of life. And if it ain't any funny, that even my 'vluthra1' id was so interesting, that if wrongly written as 'vluthra', it would reach someone - but just another Luthra, except that this 'Vandana' (Bhabhi, who turned into a family acquaintance in USA), knew all that was going on in my life, including my move to her home city Dallas-TX!! Such is the power of the net.

Him Shobha

First, it was Him (my partner), who always found my writing very expressive and she encouraged me to write. It all started with my long letters to her and expressing my love, in our days of courtship. When the internet and mobiles were nearly unknown and we queued up to make 'Trunk Calls". The ubiquitous POST was a life saver. And so were greeting cards and floral paper. And every such message was a keep-sake. Including its post cover, with some beautiful inscription. Luckily, life wasn't all about 'deleting' messages or ignoring some, under some pretext.

Then came the next big surprise - my father-in-law, who wrote to me in early 2007 (yeah, 13 years down the road that we had gotten to know each other):

"Dear Vivek...I read your account of journey to FRA and back today on opening my email after so many days, believe me traveled with you. Keep booking us with your experience. At least I will vicariously enjoy it...Papa".

Today after nearly 7 years of that inspiring note, I feel it is time to let the cat out of the bag. And share all openly. Like my life's e-book, or at least a few leaves out of my life's tree.

So I dedicate this site to him...and the lovely Him.

Those who will enjoy it, thank you! Those who find my thoughts radical or offending - Sorry!

PS: This is what the site looked so far...
