Indo-German Connection

What makes us similar and yet so different?

With most Indian languages and German having roots in "Sanskrit", could we be different in our "Sanskriti" (culture)? Actually, the Indians are quite the opposite of Germans. As the evening of 16-April dawned, I was informed by a neighbor that they had received an airmail packet on my behalf. And lo and behold, there was this nicely stitched up cloth packed parcel.
Aap ki Aankhon Mein... rings in my ears as I write this, reminding me of the sexuality then, and now! When I grew up, the Polka Dot Bikini, oops, Saree, was a unique form of sensuality.
I attended a Workshop on managing Taxes, held in English on 7-April in Bonn. 13 folks attended, of which 3 (including me), were of Indian origin. Normally, one would expect that living in Germany would teach the average Joe to respect time and be sensitive to others too!
