Oxymoron

Somehow ‘Oxymoron’ word cropped up twice in a row in the last 2 days. And this one time, it was a bomber…and I thought, OMG, I live in a world of Oxymoron's for a change!

So as I explored the requirement for admission to a MA English Program at the University of Bonn, one of the requirements reads:

“International students need a certificate of intermediate German language proficiency (DSH-1, TestDaF TDN 3).”

It’s so interesting – that the System here can put up as many barriers to letting people in, and then claim to be, THE Superior Race! And this is a country with dying population rates and lacking that basic ‘English’ fluency to deal with the rest of the World. The other day, I chanced upon the way Chinese are learning English and confirm my earlier dreadful thought I live with the Dinosaurs of 21st Century – only I don’t want to be extinct with them.
