Purpose behind everything…

If I can summarize the 01-Dec-12 evening on a HIGH note, the one big reason for me to step out of my home after being stuck all day, as late as 9:25pm, was to see off a friend who had come over to my place (to help me clean up and sort a bunch of papers, etc).

As I stepped out, I faced the first snow of the season. I saw her off at the nearby U-Bahn at 9:37pm, having accompanied her there. But what I didn’t know that I was out there that late, for another reason?

Upon walking back, at the Lidl-Haribo corner traffic light (half way to my place), a young girl crossed over and walked slightly ahead of me. To ensure she doesn’t get an uneasy feeling of being followed, I crossed on to the other side. Moments after (opposite the fire station) she shouted “excuse me” and I crossed back to her side, as she sought some directions. She wanted to know, if I knew “Prominadenweg” street and I offered saying, my house is not too far, if only she would walk along – that I can check on my phone (with wifi) the location and guide her. As luck would have it, it is also the street behind my house street (overlooking the ever green forest - Venusberg Wald).

As I quickly located it, while still on the street I walked along with her to the location. She was absolutely thrilled and immensely thankful. We wished each other a good night and as I walked away, it dawned on me, why I had really come out at that time. In his own small ways, HE makes sure, we fulfill a purpose. She had forgotten the paper with the way to her friend’s house. But I was sent as an alternative, just at the right moment. Such are the ways of life!

This will remain as my most memorable 1-12-12.
